Tania ARMAND is a PhD student at REEDS. After initial studies in Italy she was awarded a Master in Chemical and Environmental Pollution from the Paris XI University and a Master in Sustainability Science Tools and Techniques: Environmental Knowledge Mediation, Partnerships for Sustainable Development from the UVSQ. This double competence in sciences and social sciences allowed her to work in the field of sustainable development, by participating actively in the elaboration of two reports on sustainable development for the company Teris (SITA France’s subsidiary, pole cleanliness of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT) and also by approaching the problems of sustainable agricultural. Since July, 2010, Tania has been working towards a PhD in Economics at the UVSQ, financed by an Industrial Research Training Agreement (Cifre: French Higher education laboratories and private companies partnership in doctoral research in partnership with the Regional Natural reserve of High Vallée de Chevreuse, PNR HVC). Her thesis aims at defining and evaluating the ecological footprint of the PNR HVC by using diverse methodological approaches (input/output methods, Carbon Assessment®, qualitative and quantitative approaches).
